About Us
Laurie Sirotkin is an NACSW Certified Nose Work Instructor (CNWI) who is truly passionate about scentwork. She lives and breathes it, and is thrilled to share this excitement with others. From beginning through advanced competition levels, Laurie works to strengthen the communication and confidence between each individual handler and their dog. No two teams are exactly the same!
Her classes are known to be a lively, fun community as people and dogs learn the sport. Classes include all breeds, sizes and shapes, and ages of dogs – as well as a few differently abled dogs. Participants include those new to the world of dog sports, as well as experienced handlers.
Laurie Sirotkin has been training in canine scent work since 2013, and she continues to take courses/training with experts in the sport. She currently competes with a Border Collie and a Border Collie ACD mix in NACSW, AKC, USCSS, and NASDA events throughout the year.
Her current two dogs compete at the NACSW Elite 2 Level, and they have finished their overall AKC Scentwork Master’s Titles. They now compete at the AKC Detective level. In 2022, Laurie came in first in the Advanced Handler Discrimination category of the 2022 AKC Western Regional Championships.
